How to Play

Play Daily Sokoban online for free. Daily Sokoban is a box-pushing puzzle game. Move the boxes to the X spots in the field. You can neither pull the boxes nor push them if they're blocked by a wall. Make sure to push the boxes in the correct order to solve the puzzle. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
Select Help to learn how to play the game.

      - Use the backspace key to undo your last move.

        Left click on the backspace buttons to undo your last move.
        Touchscreen devices
        With your fingers:
        Tap and swipe the forklift to around.
        Tap on the undo button to take back your last move.
        Controls & indicators
        The controls and indicators of the game are located on the left side of the screen. From the top, they are as follows:
        The game’s logo
        Date: Use this to switch to a different day’s Sokoban puzzle.
        Timer: This counts the time it takes you to solve the puzzle.
        Move counter: This counts the number of moves it took to finish the game.
        Undo button: This takes back your last move. Use this when playing on a touchscreen device.
        Restart button: Use this to reset the entire level from the beginning.
        The bottom row of buttons are as follows, from left to right:
        Music button: Toggle the game’s music.
        Sound effects button: Toggle the game’s audio cues.
        Enlarge button: Switch between windowed and full screen modes
        Game Play
        Generating puzzles
        The game generates a different puzzle for every day of the year.
        You can choose up to 365 to 366 different puzzles for each difficulty level.
        You can play again by choosing the puzzle of a different day on the calendar or by selecting next on the winning screen.
        Objectives
        Move all the boxes to the spaces marked with an x on the playing field.
        Although the game has a timer and a move counter, it has neither a time nor move limit.
        If you’re new, take all the time and moves you need to finish the puzzle.
        If you want to challenge yourself, take note of your previous time or moves to give yourself a record to beat.
        Basic rules
        You can only move one box at a time.
        You cannot pull the boxes.
        You cannot push boxes when they hit a wall. A box that’s on a corner is essentially stuck.
        Strategy and tips
        Often, you must push the boxes in a specific order to solve the puzzle.
        Reconsider the obvious solutions. Pushing in one box too early can make it impossible to maneuver another one into place.
        Watch your step. Make a move too early and you might render the puzzle unsolvable.
        Elbow room is the key to keeping the puzzle solvable.
        Always keep your paths open. The puzzle is unsolvable if neither the boxes nor the forklift can be moved.
        Sometimes you must move a box to a more open area further away from the target to put it in place properly.
        You need ample space to avoid placing the box in a corner.
        It is easy to think of the walls as the enemy in this game. Do not push a box against a wall unless there is an opening in the wall to move it in another direction or it is aligned with its end destination in a straight path.
        Boxes which are in a corner can not be moved in any direction.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for people of all ages who like logic puzzle games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
